The construction industry needs to know about biodegradable materials
Surprisingly, the ecology of the flooring material is much greener than it looks. Not to be confused with vinyl, which contains a synthetic mixture of chlorinated paraffin, linoleum is made entirely from natural materials - flax-seed oil, natural turpentine, ground cork dust, wood chips and lime powder - making it an optional biodegradable material that can also be incinerated to provide a relatively clean energy source.
