Shearing machine blade is a cutting tool used for shearing various materials, which is widely used in mechanical processing, metal processing, shipbuilding, bridge construction and other fields. Shearing machine blade can cut various metal materials, including aluminum plate, galvanized plate, stainless steel plate, copper plate, steel plate, iron sheet, steel bar and so on.

1. How to choose the material of the blade of the shearing machine
Many people believe that the higher the raw material of the blade of the cutting machine, the better the product will be. However, this is not the case. The material of the blade of the cutting machine is determined by the type of sheet metal it is used to cut. Only by selecting the right material can it cut more smoothly.
For example:
The blade of the shearing machine made of T10 (carbon tool steel), Cr5Mo (chromium-molybdenum alloy steel for high-temperature environments), and 9CrSi (low-alloy tool steel) is suitable for shearing ordinary A3-type, ordinary low-carbon cold-rolled sheet materials and scraps. In addition, the blade of the shearing machine made of 9CrSi (low-alloy tool steel) is also suitable for shearing hard steel sheets.
The blade of the shearing machine made of 6Crw2si (a steel type formed by adding a certain amount of tungsten to chromium-silicon steel) and Cr12MoV (cold work die steel) is suitable for shearing hot rolled plates, stainless steel, and medium-thick plates.
Shear blades made of 4Cr5MoSiV1 (air quenching hardened hot work die steel), 7Cr7Mo2V2Si (high strength and toughness cold work die steel), W6Mo5Cr4V2 (high carbon high alloy tool steel suitable for high speed cutting) are suitable for high speed, high temperature hot shearing. The material characteristics are high temperature resistance and difficult to anneal.
The material of the blade of the shearing machine is very important for the production process. Various high-hardness high-speed steels add some alloying elements such as Si, Cr, Mo, etc. to ordinary high-speed steels, which further improves their fatigue resistance, heat resistance, and wear resistance.
2. How to choose a flat or bevelled blade
The blade of the shearing machine accessory in industrial production is also called a cutting tool, and there are generally two types of cutting edges most commonly used.
One is 90°, commonly known as "flat mouth"; the other is 82°, commonly known as "oblique mouth". So, what are the differences between the two different designs of knife edges? What are the differences in their performance?
There are two common types of blade edges for shearing machines: a 90° flat edge and an 82° bevel edge. The difference between the two is that the bevel edge shears the edges of the sheet more neatly and beautifully than the 90° flat edge, and is commonly used on hydraulic pendulum shearing machines for cutting thin sheets.
Due to the small force-bearing area of the bevel shear blade, it is easy to cause cracks if used to cut thick plates. If the customer has high requirements for the cut plates, it is advisable to use a bevel shear blade with better material quality, which can meet the customer's needs without causing cracks due to the thickness of the plate.
How to distinguish between a bevel blade and a flat blade for a cutting machine? We can use a 90-degree ruler to measure the upper blade. If it is parallel, it indicates that it is a flat blade for a cutting machine. If there is a gap and a viewpoint, it indicates that it is a bevel blade for a cutting machine. Here we should note that the lower blade of a hydraulic cutting machine blade is currently four-sided and 90-degree flat.
