Precautions for installation of linear actuator

1. Install the flatness of the bottom edge

If the installation bottom plane is too large, it will cause the bottom edge of the linear module to be forcibly locked, resulting in strong bending deformation of the bottom edge of the linear module, the linear slide rail, and the ball screw. In mild cases, it may increase the frictional resistance during the operation of the linear slide rail, and in severe cases, it may not be able to operate, greatly reducing its service life. According to the accuracy level of the linear sliding table, the flatness requirement for the installation bottom edge is generally lower than 0.05mm/m. For the fine level, the flatness of the installation bottom edge should be less than 0.02mm/mm.

2. Bottom fixed screw locking sequence

When installing, the bottom fixed screws should follow the standard of first tightening in the middle and then tightening on both sides. If the two sides are locked first, it will cause the arch deformation caused by deformation to be unable to be cleared, resulting in the inability of the linear slide rail to operate smoothly, reducing the walking flatness and parallelism precision.

3. Tightness and installation difficulties of synchronous belt

The tension of the belt should be maintained moderately. If the support force of the belt is too tight, it will cause excessive tension on the synchronous wheel and synchronous belt, and cause noise. The belt support force is too loose, which can cause gaps and reduce precision throughout the entire transmission system process. In severe cases, it can cause tooth skipping.

4. Belt installation requires alignment at both ends

When installing the belt linear sliding table or motor side, the synchronous wheel should be kept level, otherwise it will cause the belt direction to deviate, resulting in friction between the belt edge and the belt stopper, and the belt will be damaged and cracked in the short term.

5. The induction switch deformed and collided with the sensor;

The sensing plate of the induction switch deformed and collided with the photoelectric switch, causing damage to the photoelectric switch. Preventive measures: Before plugging in and dragging the rail slider, check that the photoelectric switch is functioning properly according to the photoelectric switch.

6. The load exceeds the application scope;

When selecting the model of the linear sliding table, in addition to the reference model selection guide for transporting large loads, the dynamic allowable torque should also be checked, and the effects of acceleration and deceleration changes should be considered. If extending, the influence of cantilever length should be taken into account, and sufficient safety performance should be pre embedded.
