The differences between electric cylinders and pneumatic cylinders mainly lie in their power sources, control methods, and application scenarios.

Firstly, the electric cylinder is powered by electricity and achieves precise linear motion by driving the screw through a servo motor. It performs well in applications that require high-precision and high-speed control, such as papermaking, chemical, automotive manufacturing, and other industries.

In contrast, cylinders use compressed air to generate power, pushing the piston back and forth within the cylinder. The design of the cylinder is relatively simple and the price is also relatively economical, so it is widely used in some situations where precision is not required and the environment is harsh, such as conveyor devices in automation equipment and linear handling of workpieces.

In terms of control mode, electric cylinders can accurately control speed, position, and thrust through electrical control systems, making them suitable for applications that require complex motion trajectories and high-precision positioning. The cylinder, on the other hand, controls the expansion and contraction speed and position of the cylinder through pneumatic control components, and the control method is relatively simple.
