But the reason(R) is not the correct justification. This is because to draw a wire out of a given material, it should be ductile in nature. Graphite being a form of carbon(a non metal) is not ductile in nature and hence cannot be drawin into a wire as it will break on being pulled. On the other hand, copper being a metal is ductile and hence can be drawn into a wire.
