Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Global Finals Winners List Revealed

The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Global Finals were held in Shenzhen. This competition is Huawei's largest offline competition in its history, attracting more than 80 countries and regions, over 2000 universities, and over 170000 students from around the world to participate

 

 

[Shenzhen, China, May 27, 2024] The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Global Finals were held in Shenzhen. This competition is Huawei's largest offline competition in its history, attracting more than 80 countries and regions, more than 2000 universities, and more than 170000 students from around the world to participate. After multiple rounds of selection in national and regional competitions, more than 160 teams and 470 players from 49 countries and regions emerged and entered the global finals.

 

Through fierce competition, 19 teams from 9 countries, including Algeria, China, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, the Philippines, Tanzania, Türkiye and Uganda, won the Practice Competition and AI Innovation Competition, 1 team from Pakistan won the Social Media Best Popularity Award, 2 teams from China and Morocco won the Green Development Honor Award, 4 teams from Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco and Uganda won the Women in Science and Technology Honor Award, and 2 teams from China and the Philippines won the TECH4ALL Digital Inclusion Honor Award.

Peng Honghua, President of Huawei's ICT Strategy and Business Development Department, elaborated on Huawei's determination and actions to cultivate ICT talents, emphasizing that, ICT is the cornerstone of an intelligent world, and through the Huawei ICT Competition, we are creating an international ICT competition and communication platform.

 

On the day of the closing ceremony, Huawei also held the ICT Accelerated Education Transformation Summit, which for the first time selected 24 most valuable lecturers for global ICT colleges. We thank them for their outstanding contributions in teaching and talent development, setting a benchmark role, using the best people to cultivate more outstanding people, and promoting the sustainable development of the ICT talent ecosystem.
