The Charging Process Explained

The charging process involves several steps, beginning with the vehicle connecting to the charging station. Once the connection is established, the following occurs:

  1. The charging station communicates with the vehicle to establish compatibility and charging parameters.
  2. The onboard charger converts the alternating current (AC) from Level 1 and Level 2 chargers into direct current (DC) suitable for the battery.
  3. The battery management system monitors the battery's state of charge, ensuring optimal charging speed and preventing overheating.
  4. Once the battery reaches full capacity, the charger automatically reduces the power supply or shuts off to protect the battery’s lifespan.
